2018 begins with a Kickoff Tournament on Saturday, May 19. We will be on courts 3, 4, 5 and 6 at Lower Woodland/Green Lake (tennis courts behind the soccer and baseball fields). We have these courts reserved from 9:30 am – 12:00 Noon. Please arrive by latest at 9:15 am!

There are 8 of us and the tournament format is:

• Super tiebreaks to 10 (12 is magic number, i.e. 11-11, next point wins)
• We will play 7 tiebreaks total against all players for “Pool Play”
• Top 4 records will advance to Championship round
• Bottom 4 records will play Consolation round
• Championship and Consolation rounds consist of single elimination matches (probably mini sets to 3 or 4, depending on time)
• Victory points will be awarded (used in standings for the league)
  • 1st place = 4 points
  • Runner-up = 3
  • 3rd place = 2.5
  • 4th = 2
  • 5th = 2
  • 6th = 1.5
  • 7th = 1.5
  • 8th = 1
• There will be NO warmups after first match
