Only one Challenge match has happened so far (save for the early challenges in East due to special circumstances) and it was a doozy! While others were finishing their regular season matches or (like me) are resting injuries, Rahber and Martin battled for regular season bragging rights of the Golden Ball with Rabher (7-0) prevailing over Martin (6-1). With Rahber’s win, the 2 time defending Golden Ball champ clinches the first of 6 spots in the Championship Tournament. With his league leading 21 points, he is clearly the person to beat . He has not lost since in the Golden Ball (short Covid Season 2020) since Will beat him in an epic in June 2019.

Remember, one must play 7 total matches to be eligible for playoffs (currently Martin, Rahber, and Eric Fredlund have played 7) and you can play up to 9 matches. Challenge match period ends on midnight July 25! Qualifying Tournament is July 26-Aug 10, which championship draw released on ESPN 😉 August 11.
