2022 Golden Ball Up and Running!

2022 Golden Ball is going strong, even with uneven weather. Please continue to plan your matches to try not to get behind too much, as weather makes it tricky. Tip 1–If a person isn’t available, move to your next match and try to schedule with next one. Tip 2–Plan ahead and make 2 plans for one match. Example—Eric and I are planning on playing this Sat/Sunday, however the weather looks like it MIGHT rain, so we agreed if it rains we will play Wednesday. We even have the courts where we will be playing This took 1 text from each of us, for a total of 5 minutes of planning.

Early Storylines #1— the consistently strong (2nd best record ever in Golden Ball over the years behind Rahber) Varun had to drop out. We will miss him, but we must go on out as the Golden Ball doesn’t stop for one tennis player 🙂

#2–Dhana is in the early lead at 3-0, and David from San Diego and also Great Britain is in at 2-0. There are no divisions remember, Top 6 players by victory points will be in Tourney, and everyone else will be in qualies fighting for 2 spots. The old reliable Will Millar gets his first victory post surgery, and the Tom/Tom battle was settled in West Seattle. A few guys are still waiting on their first matches.

#3-Most likely date for mini-tourney is June 25.

#4 -Challenge match information for July is coming soon, along with maximum number of matches which can be played.

good luck and have fun–The Commish
